According to the news released by the Bangkok business daily, lennarong, consultant of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and Thai negotiator of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP), said recently that India will not sign the RCEP agreement this time, but will join as a member state after the agreement comes into force because India still needs to prepare and adjust its trade laws and regulations and market competition.

The network meeting of all parties to be held on the 20th-24th of this month will promote the signing of RCEP according to the schedule, and formulate this year's work plan. All parties agree to adjust the meeting form before the middle of this year. In terms of the progress of the agreement, the working group is currently adjusting the text of the agreement. So far, 6 chapters have been completed, and the remaining 14 chapters are still being adjusted. Since then, all parties will continue to complete the text adjustment by July through remote meetings to ensure the smooth signing by the end of this year.
